A friend to the border collie breed, and to me & Josie!
Best
Friends Fun Farm is the place to be for fun, positive agility training
in the North Dallas area. I train all of my agility dogs here and wouldn't
have it any other way!
You've probably seen dog agility on Animal Planet and ESPN. The dogs soar over jumps, scale an A-frame and slalom through the weave poles. And they have so much fun doing it! Now, teach your dog to enjoy the game of agility!
At Best Friends, we believe students progress more quickly when the class size is smaller so obstacle classes are limited to 7 dogs. We make agility lessons fun and stress a positive attitude while training our dogs.
Fast
Clicks does awesome agility photography (& other random event photography
as well) around here. Wherever his wife, Deborah, and their all-american KC
want to trial, Tom is there taking action shots! & what's more -- if
you
title you get a free title picture! Awesome!
He's taken photos all throughout Josie's puppihood to help keep the memories alive. Now he takes the best action shots of her in the ring!! Thanks Tom!
Look at this awesome photo combination he made for me out of three shots he took at a trial in June 2006 - I can't thank you enough! Just gorgeous!!!
Rocket-Dog!! One of Josie's bestest buddies in the whole wide world! She gives him a full body wiggle everytime they meet and typically gets overly excited to see his mom, Heather, too. Must run in the family!!
Josie and Rocket can be seen exploring the parks of Dallas together, and once Rocket makes his USDAA debut, they'll be tearin' up the courses together, too! & there's the love of herding livestock that they like to share. Rocket is Josie's 'surrogate brother' when I go out of town -- I won't trust anyone else in the world with my precious Josie-monkey (& the Ivernator, too!).
Thanks, Rock, for taking such good care of my girlies!

Spirit of a Dog
By Anonymous
I was standing on a hillside
In a field of blowing wheat
And the spirit of a dog
Was lying at my feet.
He looked at me with kind dark eyes
An ancient wisdom shining through
And in the essence of his being
I saw love there too.
His mind did lock upon my heart
As I stood there on that day
And he told me of this story
About a place so far away.
I stood upon that hillside
In a field of blowing wheat
And in a twinkling of a second
His spirit left my feet.
His tale did put my heart at ease
All my fears did fade away
About what lay ahead of me
On another distant day.
"I live among God's creatures
now
In the heavens of your mind
So do not grieve for me, my friend,
As I am with my own kind."
"My collar is a rainbow's hue
My leash a shooting star
My boundaries are the Milky Way
Where I sparkle from afar."
"There are no pens or kennels
here
For I am not confined
But free to roam God's heavens
Among the canine kind."
"I nap the day on a snowy cloud
And dream the dreams of earthlings.
Gentle breezes rocking me
And how it used to be."
"The trees are full of liver
treats
And tennis balls abound
And Milk Bones line the walkways
Just waiting to be found."
"At night I sleep in an angel's
arms
Her wings protecting me
And moonbeams dance about us
As stardust falls on thee."
"So when your life on earth
is spent
And you stand at heaven's gate
Have no fear of loneliness
For here, you know I wait."
